Pankaj Tripathi: Recently the movie, OMG 2 released on August 11, 2023, the film has been receiving positive feedback from the audiences after hitting the theatres. It is a sequel to OMG: Oh My God!, a 2012 movie that was quite popular. OMG 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam Pankaj Tripathi, and Govind Namdev in main roles Pankaj Tripathi .
The film is of the genre comedy-drama directed and written by Amit Rai. The movie was scrutinized by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and received an ‘A’ certificate. According to reports by The Indian Express, the makers of the film were also suggested to modify almost 25 scenes before its release Pankaj Tripathi .
What is OMG 2 about?
OMG 2 is a two-and-a-half-hour movie that revolves around the story of a shopkeeper at a temple in Ujjain, Kanti Sharan Mudgal played by the talented actor Pankaj Tripathi. He is portrayed as a good husband, a loving father, and a devotee of Lord Shiva Pankaj Tripathi .

Everything goes off-balance when Mudgal finds out that his son Vivek played by Aarush Varma had to be admitted to the hospital due to excessive masturbation. The situation gets worse when his son is expelled from school. The school decides to expel him on the ground of immoral conduct. It happens after a video goes viral where Vivek is caught in the act at the school’s washroom Pankaj Tripathi .
Mudgal decides to escape from the city to save his son and his family’s image. But just when he plans to do so Akshay Kumar appears as God’s emissary and enters his life. He makes Mudgal understand that his son has been suffering due to misinformation and misguidance. He also says that Mudgal himself is also responsible for his son’s condition.
Mudgal as an understanding father accepts his mistakes and decides to sue his son’s school, the chemist, the charlatan, the doctor, and himself for ignoring his son and misleading him this way.
The legal battle against top lawyer Kamini Maheshwari
The real struggle begins when Mudgal finds himself in a courtroom with Judge Purus hot tam Nagar in a legal battle against top lawyer Kamini Maheshwari played by Yami Gautam.
OMG 2 review
The movie is worth a watch with its well-timed humour, and its attempt to impart sex education and break the taboo surrounding the term sex. In the film, the question has been raised as to why Indian parents and teachers shy away from educating their kids about sex at home and in schools.
Mudgal mentions Ajanta and Ellora caves, Khajuraho Temple, Kamasutra, and other age-old Hindu facts to prove his point and emphasize the progressive past of India. He also cites that India is also known to be the land of Kamasutra. Though OMG 2 covers a serious topic, it also offered its audience a fair share of laughs. Pankaj Tripathi as usual shines with his brilliant acting and Akshay Kumar played his part diligently.
OMG 2 ending explained
The case eventually becomes a national issue when Mudgal makes his point because it creates an uproar among many conservative groups nationwide. However, OMG 2 succeeds in educating the audience. It imparts a strong message besides keeping the plot humorous and entertaining.

In the end, Mudgal wins the case and gets his son Vivek readmitted to school. He also succeeds in bringing about a change in the country’s education system.
The societal transformation shown in the movie is a necessity and OMG 2 has made a place in the heart of the audiences.
